Micah 6:8

“He has shown you, O man, what is good.

And what does the Lord require of you?

To act justly, to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with your God.”

Since the founding of Friendship Christian School in 1973, Micah 6:8 has shaped our identity and guided our mission. Chosen by our first headmaster, Colonel Leonard Bradley, this verse continues to anchor the heart and culture of our school. It reminds us that true education extends far beyond classrooms and curriculum—it forms character.

As administrators, faculty, and staff, we remain committed to this enduring call:
To act justly in all we do,
To love mercy in every interaction,
And to walk humbly with our God each day.

Micah 6:8 is more than a theme for us. It is the path we choose as we teach, mentor, and serve the students entrusted to our care.

God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Thank You for the legacy You began at Friendship Christian School and the timeless truth of Micah 6:8. Continue to shape us into a community marked by justice, mercy, and humble dependence on You.

Help us lead with integrity, teach with compassion, and serve with hearts surrendered to Your will. May our actions reflect Your justice, our relationships overflow with mercy, and our steps be guided by Your wisdom.

Bless every student, family, teacher, and staff member who calls FCS home, and let the spirit of Micah 6:8 continue to form us into people who honor You in all things.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
